Honestly, Is There Anything Better Than Synchronized Swimming?

Would this be better with lights on their costume? Here's the article.

Synchronized individual swimming? How can that be? While I loved her super dramatic intro on the pool deck (she is SUPER committed), without a partner or team, isn't this just someone thrashing around in the pool? (and those commentators NEVER stop talking!)

And the best ever...

(Edited) I've added a few more since ELC enjoyed the others so much!

I LOVE how they march up on stage!

Here's another non-synchronized swimming related video. I like how he keeps protesting, but no one cares!

I'm thinking of you

Good morning my "sisters"
I just wanted to let you know all three of you are in my heart (always, but especially today). If the road to crazy town tries to lure you in, just think about what a rockin' Welsh tea party is going on above us!
I love you all very much,
Beth

Yes, he said 8 to 10 THOUSAND calories!

And apparently, as hard as he tries, he can't get over 200 pounds!

Oh, and congratulations to Michael Phelps for winning the most gold medals in Olympic history! Not too shabby!

Ok, let's look for a minute at YUMMY Ian Thorpe. The Thorpedo! He's not swimming in this Olympics, but I just think he is SO delicious!

Um, I'm not sure what is going on here, but he still looks good.

Ok, I don't want that to be the photo that lingers in your mind. So here is an Ian Thorpe palate cleanser.

How Y'All Doin'!

I bring to you the "Traditions of the South" portion of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics opening ceremony. It is breathtaking. I beg you to watch the video in its entirety, particularly take note of what arrives around the 3 minute mark. Who says our young nation doesn't have culture! Take this, I say!!

The Wave!
Clogging Cheerleaders!
More Cheerleaders!
Pickup trucks!
Synchronized (not menacing!) pickup trucks! (Maybe if there were 1,996 pickups crashing around, that would have been more spectacular.)

Surely the Chinese were inspired by how the US did it!

Now here is how it should be done. (Unfortunately I couldn't find good video of the ceremony. I wonder if NBC had something to do with that.)
